A new start today

I finally got out my podcast and set up my treadmill and started the couch to 5k program. And I feel awesome that I actually got it going. I slowed my running pace from what I am used to. I figured that right now I should just worry about how long I can run/jog and once I get to week 9 of the program and can run for 30 minutes straight, then I can work on my speed. Hopefully I will be able to run a mile and a half in 14 minutes or less by March. Fingers crossed that I can anyways. That is one of the obstacles standing in my way.

Another obstacle is the weight and push-ups. I am pretty good with sit-ups but they could use some work as well, just not as much as running and push-ups. As I strength myself I think I will be able to lose weight in the process. As of this moment I need to lose around 45 and 50 pounds to be at an acceptable weight for the military. Though, with my bone structure I may have to do the body measurements. Either way, I know that I can be ready by March. If not my March, no later than the end of April. My over all goal is to be in the military before my 26th birthday. I know I can do it.

Here is my dreaded list for the day

Messed up on
  1. Didn't drink enough water
  2. Ate after 7
  3. Slept too late this morning
Things I did that were good
  1. Started C25k program
  2. Ate somewhat healthy
  3. Got to bed on time last night
Goals for tomorrow
  1. Drink 8-8oz of water
  2. Make better choices for meals
  3. Don't eat after 7
  4. Walk on treadmill and some other kind of work out.
And a new one that I will have every other day.

C25k Week 1, Day 1 stats
  • Total of 30 minutes
  • 1.33 miles
  • 185 calories burned
It is recommended that I take a day in between each run so I will not run tomorrow but I do plan on walking for at least 30 minutes and then doing a video workout. Not sure which one.

Until Tomorrow
